Beyond Tired

Home post surgery and I am exhausted. Hospital is not a place to rest! Anyway, I look as if my throat has been slashed. Not a pretty look, I must say. Need to find me some spring/ summer scarves to camouflage my wound.

Should get pathology results next week. Fingers crossed that no further treatment is required. Meantime I'll rest a bit and get my neck moving.

Countdown

Tomorrow I have surgery. A hemithyroidectomy to be exact. I am a wee bit anxious, but realistically it is no big deal. Problem is, I am a coward!

Decided that since I will be on a soft diet for several days it is good a time as ever to start getting serious about weight management. I am obese. I feel deeply embarrassed and even ashamed that 18 months ago I was underweight and in the interim I have developed this fat suit.

So, watch this space. Come the summer I will have the body of Beyonce and not a bouncing body. I am determined that when 2011 arrives I am not going to be 50 and fat.
